Brown Physicians, Incorporated (BPI) is a community-based not-for-profit multi-specialty practice group founded and led by faculty affiliated with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Our mission is to provide outstanding patient care, exceptional medical education, and groundbreaking advances in research to promote better health for the people of Rhode Island and its surrounding communities.
BPI is composed of six foundations, which include Brown Dermatology, Brown Emergency Medicine, Brown Medicine, Brown Neurology, Brown Urology, and University Surgical Associates.

Dear Patient,
Thank you for your patience as we transition to Brown Health Medical Group, part of Brown University Health.
On March 30, 2026, your Brown Physicians, Inc. patient portal, eClinicalWorks (eCW) and Healow (the patient portal app), will be replaced by Brown University Health’s electronic health record and patient portal, MyChart. Medical information for appointments starting on this date and moving forward will be available on MyChart.
Key Dates
At noon on Friday, March 27, 2026, messaging on eCW/Healow will be turned off. You will no longer be able to send or receive messages.
You have until May 29, 2026, to download any information or data from eCW portal/Healow.
From March 30, 2026, through May 29, 2026, you will still be able to view your portal but you will not be able to send or receive messages via the eCW portal.
Medical information for appointments and procedures completed on March 30, 2026, and going forward, will be available on MyChart.

MyChart
With MyChart, you have the opportunity to:
If you already have a MyChart account, there is nothing you need to do. You will start to see updates from your providers and practices who were previously using eCW on MyChart beginning March 30, 2026.
If you do not have a MyChart account, you can sign up for one the next time you visit your Brown Health Medical Group provider or sign up online.
Our MyChart Patient Portal Customer Service team is available to help you sign up, answer your questions, or assist with any issues you experience with the new portal. To contact MyChart Customer Service, please call 401-606-6957.
Your Medical Records
If you need copies of your medical records, you can request those from the provider’s office, from the hospital where you were treated, or contact Health Information Management at 401-793-2222.
Please call your care team with any questions or concerns during this time.
Billing
Beginning March 30, 2026, bills you receive for services rendered will come from Brown University Health. When you receive a statement of benefits from your insurance provider, it will identify Brown Health Medical Group as your healthcare provider.
